Growing Bigger but Remaining Well Rooted
Asked how they landed the project, Eric Strickland, who heads up the eleven-strong team at the MSA Studios on Bank Street, Aberfeldy told Comment, “Our work in the valley had been noticed by those behind this project; I guess that they felt confident that we could deliver what they were looking for, and we aim to do just that.” If this means that MSA has now ‘hit the big time’ the is it not likely that the practice will cease to be interested in ‘the wee projects’of house extensions, renovations and smaller commercial work? “Definitely not!” was Eric’s response. “Our first local job was a renovation, followed by an extension /adaptation of an older house - and we still provide this kind of service. We know this area of work well, and we can give the smaller projects just as much attention to detail as the bigger ones.” “We like sitting down with clients, finding out exactly what they are looking for and making their dreams come true. Exceeding expectations might be a bit of a cliché but it is just what we aim to do,” Eric added. “Clients are looking for good value and inspiring designs; we can offer both. They are also well aware of the benefit of a well-designed extension or new-build in terms of adding value to their development.” McKenzie Strickland Associates has come a long way in a short time and has given the locality some striking new homes to enjoy. It’s good that this young team also continues to welcome ‘the wee projects’.
